How to do it
Drop an image
You can drop several: the same area, proportionally, is applied to each one.
Draw the frame
Move the frame or drag its corners. Choose a fixed aspect ratio if needed.
Download
The dimensions of the result are shown.
The most common aspect ratios
| Aspect ratio | Common use |
|---|---|
| 1:1 | Profile picture, square post |
| 4:3 | Classic photo, slideshow |
| 3:2 | DSLR photo |
| 16:9 | Banner, video, header image |
| 9:16 | Story, vertical mobile format |
Cropping several images at once
If you drop several images, the frame is set on the first one, then applied proportionally to the others: the same portion (for example the center, over half the width). This is useful for a batch of photos taken with the same framing.
Frequently asked questions
Does cropping degrade the image?
The crop itself loses nothing. If the image is saved again as JPG or WebP, lossy compression is applied: set a high quality to limit it.
Can I crop on mobile?
Yes, the frame can be moved and resized with your finger.
How do I get a perfect square?
Choose the 1:1 aspect ratio: the frame keeps this ratio when you resize it.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No, unless the format cannot be read by the browser (such as HEIC), with a warning.
