    How to do it

    1. Drop your WebP files

.webp files, up to 30 at once.

    2. Set the quality and background

90% by default. Transparent areas take the background color you choose, white by default.

    3. Download the JPGs

One by one or as a ZIP archive.

Why so many images are WebP

Most websites now serve their images as WebP, a format lighter than JPG that speeds up page loading. When you save an image from your browser, you often end up with a .webp file, which some image editors, office software, print services and upload forms do not accept.

JPG solves the problem: every device and every piece of software can read it.

    JPG or PNG?

Choose JPG for a photo: it is light and opens everywhere. If the image has a transparent background (logo, icon, cut-out), JPG will replace it with a solid color: use WebP to PNG instead, which keeps the transparency.

    Frequently asked questions

    Does the conversion lose quality?

Very little at 90%: the difference is not visible. Details already lost in the original WebP compression do not come back.

    What happens to transparency?

JPG does not support it: transparent areas are filled with the background color chosen in the settings.

    Are animated WebP files supported?

Only the first frame of the animation is converted to JPG.

Are my images uploaded to the internet?

No. The conversion happens in your browser: your files stay on your device.
