    How to do it

    1. Drop your PNGs

Up to 30 files at once.

    2. Choose the quality and background

85% suits most images. The background replaces transparent areas.

    3. Download the JPGs

The size before and after is shown for each image.

When to switch from PNG to JPG

    • Photos exported as PNG: JPG often divides the size by five or more, with no visible difference.
    • Attachments and online forms with size limits.
    • Websites and services that only accept JPG.

For a logo, an icon or a screenshot of text, PNG often stays sharper: compare before replacing your files.

    The transparent background

JPG has no transparency. The transparent pixels of your PNG are replaced by the color chosen in the settings (white by default). To keep transparency with a light file, convert to WebP instead with PNG to WebP.

    Frequently asked questions

Will the JPG be less sharp?

On a photo, not at 85% or more. On fine text or a flat-color logo, slight artifacts can appear around edges: raise the quality to 95% or keep the PNG.

Can I choose a black or colored background?

Yes, with the "Background for transparent areas" setting.

How many PNGs can I convert at once?

Up to 30, then downloadable in a single ZIP archive.

Do my files leave my computer?

No, the conversion is done in your browser.
