How to do it
Drop your HEIC photos
.heic or .heif files, from your computer or your phone, up to 30 at once.
Choose the quality
90% keeps the look of the original. Lower it to 80% for lighter files.
Download the JPGs
One by one or as a ZIP archive.
Why your photos are HEIC
Since iOS 11, the iPhone saves its photos in HEIC format (High Efficiency Image Container). At equal quality, a HEIC photo weighs about half as much as a JPG. But the format is still poorly supported outside the Apple world: Windows requires an extension, many online forms reject it, and some software cannot open it.
JPG, on the other hand, is read by every device, website and printer.
How the conversion works
Most browsers cannot read HEIC. Your photos are therefore sent to our server, converted, then deleted automatically within 30 minutes at most. The interface warns you before uploading. Metadata (GPS location, phone model) is not copied into the JPG.
Stop getting HEIC files
On your iPhone, open Settings, then Camera, then Formats, and choose "Most Compatible": new photos will be saved as JPG. You can also keep HEIC and set Settings, Photos, "Transfer to Mac or PC" to "Automatic": the iPhone then converts photos to JPG when you transfer them with a cable.
Frequently asked questions
How many HEIC photos can I convert?
Up to 30 at once, 25 MB maximum per photo. You can then download everything in a ZIP archive.
Is the photo quality preserved?
Yes, with a quality of 90%: the difference from the original is not visible. The JPG will be a little heavier than the HEIC, which is normal.
Are my photos kept on the server?
No. They are processed and then deleted automatically within 30 minutes of conversion, or as soon as you leave the page. We do not look at them or reuse them.
Are Live Photos supported?
Only the still image is converted to JPG. The short video attached to a Live Photo is not processed.
