How to do it
Drop an image
JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF or BMP.
Frame the area
Move and resize the frame over what you want to hide, then choose blur or pixelate.
Download
The hidden area is burned into the image.
Blur or pixelate?
Blur gives a soft, discreet result, good for backgrounds and faces in a crowd. Pixelate makes it obvious that something was hidden and is harder to reverse, which suits license plates, documents and screens. Use a high strength for sensitive information.
Privacy first
The image is processed in your browser and never uploaded, which matters precisely when it contains information you want to hide. Metadata such as GPS location is also removed from the result.
Frequently asked questions
Can I hide several areas?
Yes: process one area, download the result, then drop it again to hide the next one.
Can the blur be removed?
The blurred area is part of the new image: the original pixels are no longer in the file. For sensitive text, prefer pixelate at a high strength.
Does it work with HEIC photos?
Convert them first with HEIC to JPG, then blur the JPG.
Are my images uploaded?
No, everything happens in your browser.
