Social media image sizes
Every platform crops and recompresses images that do not match its formats. Uploading the right size keeps faces and text where you placed them.

Platforms change their layouts from time to time; these sizes are safe, widely used values.
Crop first, then resize
A size has two parts: the ratio (the shape) and the dimensions. If your photo does not have the right ratio, the platform crops it for you, often badly. Choose what stays in the frame with Crop image, or let our platform tools crop the center automatically: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X and YouTube thumbnails.
Keep text away from the edges
Profile pictures are displayed in a circle, covers are cropped differently on mobile and desktop, and timelines show previews. Keep important text and faces in the central 80% of the image.
Upload at high quality
Platforms recompress every upload. Starting from a JPG at 85 to 90% quality, at the exact size, avoids a double loss of quality and keeps the result sharp.
